The Metropolitan Pavilion

Art Off The Main 2008 is pleased to be moving into a new Venue - The Metropolitan Pavilion North - one of New York City’s premier event spaces. Located in the bustling and trendy Chelsea art district it is readily accessible by mass transit and close to many parking facilities and world class hotels.

Situated among the architectural splendor of the Ladies’ Mile Historic District, Metropolitan Pavilion’s north Beaux Arts exterior, (1896), echo the dynamism of the neighborhood’s boutiques, galleries, parks, and nightlife.

Accentuated by late 19th -century architectural highlights and modern detailing, the Pavilion feature polished oak floors and 12-20 feet ceilings. Its stylish lobby blends vintage loft elements with sophisticated lighting, such as pin spots sparking through fluid metal scrims, and cocoons the environment within an atmosphere of rich blue and gray hues.

The North Pavilion hosts dinners, receptions, international art fairs, fashion, and press events throughout the year, as well as designer sample sales, trade events, and expos. Many memorable events have occurred here, from the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show to the Fashion Week tent of MAO PR; from a white-draped audio/visual presentation center for Clinique to some of the city’s best-known sample sales, featuring Escada, The Gap, and other brands.

It will now be home to Art off the Main- a highlight of New York's fall art season…colorful… vibrant… diverse…as exciting and fascinating as the cultures it represents!
